Train Rides
02. Sep
Are not what they used to be – thank goodness! We are relaxing in nice comfy leather seats, food and drinks are served directly to us by a very nice “Train-Attendant” (are they called that?)
I have to say I am dully impressed!
below a pic of my “Brotzeit” was very tasty…
2001: I do – 2011: I still do!
06. Apr
Its our 10th wedding anniversary today and we are totally excited to be in the Big Apple for that occassion!
When we walked through Central Park on our first day we saw all those benches with dedication plates and one was from a couple also for their 10th anniversary saying this “I do – I still do”
and I liked that very much…so to all those happy couples out there, enjoy your time together and dont forget to celebrate those special days!
It’s still early morning over here but we have a lot planned and will post pics of our special day later.
PS – To those that didnt believe we would last that long:”Na Na Na Na Na Na!!! (you know who you are)
New York, New York

Palmengarten
28. Mrz
April (nein, kein Scherz) gibts ne Orchideen-Austellung, wenn jemand also Ideen für’s WE sucht…hingehen! Und nicht vergessen beim tollen Cafe dort in der Sonne sitzen und lecker yammi Kuchen essen

Tanz der Vampire
13. Feb
I was told to blog again no matter what – so here we go
We are on our way to Stuttgart to see the musical “Tanz der Vampire”
Our good friends V & G asked a couple weeks ago if we would like to join them so here we are all ready to enjoy a nice day – and also remembered to bring binoculars so we dont miss any details
Well, I’ll let you know how it was ..,stay tuned!
Cologne
28. Jun
Arrived in Cologne for a two-day Training, weather is great but the train connection was very early so Im a little tired … and in my room I found a nice surprise: a spider on the ceiling -yickes! Managed to catch it while standing on the bed juggling a hanger, sorry spider, cant sleep in one room with you!
The training is quite good so far: Meetings & Presentations in English. It also tackles the issue of the cultural differences between German and Britain/US Business which is the most interesting part for me so far. I also find it very amusing that several people adress each other on a first name basis during the meeting but in the breaks they go back to “Sie” & “Herr/Frau XY” – ridiculous! God am I glad thats not an issue in my workplace!! ![]()
Trying to get some sleep now but its always hard without my furry beasts – OK and the Chief
Good Night from Cologne!
Bavaria
29. Mai
After a seven-hour journey via Landshut & Munich, we finally arrived at Schliersee. Picturesque landscape, but the weather could have been better…at least we could eat on the terrace and start the boot-trip without rain. However, during the Coffee Break it started to rain and on the Way back we cosequently had to sit inside. Now we are in our Country-Motel outside Landshut enjoying the view and trying to ignore the persistant Country smells
