Dies und Das…

On this day 10 years ago, our World turned upside down when nearly 3000 innocent victims died in New York, Washington DC & Shanksville…. YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!

We are going to travel to Berlin for the WE, to the IFA to be exact…at least that is the main reason to go there.

We have been invited by our dear friend Mr Anderson to stay at his place which is of course an additional reason to go to Berlin as we do not have to go through hassel and money to book a hotel in the Capital.

However, I did not expect the huge impact our visit would have on Mr. Anderson…he is rolling out the red carpet (ok its not red but it is a carpet )  for us…literally!

So far the preparations for our visit included, I hope I got everything:
Re-painting the whole flat – I think that project actually started before we announced our arrival but was rushed to be finished because of us
Ordering and installing a TV screen in the bathroom – no shower is any good without watching TV!!!
Ordering and getting a friend to install a new wandlamp – so I would not be offended by a blank lightbulp on the wall (Ok, YES I would have been – sorry)
Competely dismanteling, cleaning and doing god knows what to the “Jura” – so we would not have to worry about fresh coffee
Ordering and installing a new carpet in the hallway – Told you he was rolling out the red carpet for us!!!
Finishing the Media-Set-up in the living room doing god knows what (I think there was a new beamer + screen ordered as well) - so we could enjoy a great movie night during our stay

You think boy that is a lot….well, the real Biggy comes now:
GOING SHOPPING for groceries  :-) – You should have seen the pic I got from Mr. Anderson’s fridge, 4 items in that fridge and 2 of those had been for cleaning the Jura….that poor fridge must be totally thrilled by now because since Tuesday evening, it is filled with actual food and drinks for actual people and that might last for a glorious week – You are welcome little fridge!!!

Well Mr. Anderson we are really impressed with all these preparations for our visit….but since you spoiled us so much…for the next visit we expect you to…. build a guest-villa  Oh boy….deleting this right know, he might really go for that one…

Seriously, it is an honor and a real pleasure to see just to how much trouble some friends go to, to make others comfortable and we are REALLY looking forward to our trip to Berlin…will keep you posted with some pices during our stay!

Cheeses, Baguette and a bottle of nice Redwine for this evening…and tomorrow its off to the Strassbourg winefair, we need to fill up the deposits
